BBN's Science Development Program (SDP) fosters professional development and provides a career path for technical staff to advance in the company. The SDP helps in nominating individuals to senior status in professional societies, sponsors a number of technical seminar series, gives financial awards for publications and patents, and provides partial financial support for professional activities such as conference attendance.
