  • OpenMap users can get free support by email from the world-wide OpenMap user community through the openmap-users@bbn.com mailing list. If you have questions that you're not comfortable sharing with the entire user community, you can email Raytheon BBN’s OpenMap team directly at openmap@bbn.com, and we will answer as time permits.

• Six-Month Support Package - For Developers and Bidders
  • -For OpenMap users who would like customized technical support for their development project that incorporates OpenMap; or if you are bidding for a contract and you want to include OpenMap technical support for your application.
    
    -Support includes design advice and consulting, tutorial explanations, problem solving, property file & classpath reviews, and tagged versions of OpenMap from the external CVS repository when changes warrant.
    
    -The six-month package features email/telephone support with next-business-day turnaround, available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM in the Eastern U.S. time zone. This package covers up to three individuals from your organization.
    
    -All inclusive price is $5000 for six months, and includes two instances of OpenMap API broadening/resolutions.*
    
    *API broadenings/resolutions are instances where we extend the existing API to cover additional uses and functionality that were not included in the latest release of OpenMap. These extensions are agreed upon by Raytheon BBN Technologies and the customer, and each extension will take no more than 4 labor hours to complete. You can get additional instances for $1000 each.

• One-on-One Consulting - Collaborative Consulting
  • - This package provides you with in-person, one-on-one discussions with one of Raytheon BBN’s OpenMap developers at your site, or at our Cambridge, Massachusetts headquarters. The developer will work with you to provide personalized support, discussions, and suggestions for how you use OpenMap within your application. This can include pair-programming, informal discussions, or code reviews, and is priced by the day.
    
    - OpenMap developers are available for one-on-one sessions for $2000/day. One-on-one sessions held at your facility also require additional travel costs from Cambridge, Massachusetts.

• Developers' Jumpstart Package - Fast Training for Your Developers
  • This package will bring your developers up to speed quickly about OpenMap. We customize this two-day training package to focus on the specific areas of OpenMap that will help you the most, and we can tailor the training to new OpenMap developers, experienced developers, or both.
    
    Sample training topics include:
    - OpenMap architecture.
    - Displaying data with OMGraphics.
    - Layers.
    - Component management.
    - Displaying supported data formats.
    
    Developers should bring their code to focus on enhancing or debugging existing OpenMap projects.
    
    Features:
    - Training at your site, or at our Cambridge, Massachusetts headquarters.
    
    $10,000 for up to 10 developers at our Cambridge training facilities. Additional students at $250 each. Training at your site will include an additional fee to cover our travel expenses.

• Teaming Package - Customized and/or Proprietary Development
  • -This package provides you with closely customized development support. We will work with you to develop requirements and we will submit a formal work proposal based on those requirements. Work performed under this package can include modifications to OpenMap, as well as the design of, integration with, and modification of your code.
    
    - If the resulting code provides you with a competitive advantage we can deliver it on a proprietary basis. Otherwise, we will include the resulting modifications in the OpenMap code base, and deliver it in the form of a new OpenMap software release to benefit the entire OpenMap community.
    
    -We price this package on a Time & Materials basis.
